Return & Refund Policy

At Backwoods Goat, we truly appreciate your support of our small business. Because many of our products are handmade personal care items, we want to be transparent about how returns and refunds are handled.

Returns

We offer a 14-day return policy, meaning you have 14 days after receiving your order to contact us regarding a return request.

Please do not send items back without contacting us first, as unauthorized returns may not be accepted.


Important Product Information

Due to the nature of our products — including goat milk soap, lotions, shampoo bars, lip balms, CBD products, bath and body items, solid dish soap, and laundry soap — we cannot accept returns for products that have been opened, used, or returned because of personal scent or preference reasons.

For health, hygiene, and product safety reasons, personal care items are generally considered non-returnable once used or opened.

However, customer satisfaction is very important to us. If there is an issue with your order, please reach out and we will do our best to make it right.


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

If your package arrives damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately with photos of the issue so we can review the situation and provide a resolution.

Depending on the situation, replacement items, store credit, refunds, or return shipping labels may be provided on a case-by-case basis.

The total value of any resolution will not exceed the original purchase amount.


Return Shipping

Return shipping responsibility is handled on a case-by-case basis.

If the return is approved due to damage, defects, or an error on our part, we may provide a prepaid return label. In other situations, customers may be responsible for return shipping costs.


Sale Items & Gift Cards

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on:

  • Sale or clearance items
  • Gift cards

Exchanges

We only replace items if they arrive defective, damaged, or incorrect.

Shipping times for replacement items may vary depending on your location.


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect an approved return, we will notify you regarding the status of your refund.

If approved, refunds will be issued back to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that banks and credit card companies may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
