About Me

Rich and I retired from The CT State Offices and A Multi State Law Firmin 2016. After more than 40 years in State/Corporate America we moved to Maine to become farmers! The most we ever had were Domestic house birds, cats, dogs, fresh & saltwater fish tanks and an Iguana!

I am a researcher by nature, so I spent a year researching raising Chickens then Ducks, and after adding them to our tiny farm, I began researching goats! Once I was comfortable that we could raise goats, we bought 3 doelings and started our "for real" farm. Currently we have 14 Does, 4 breeding Bucks and are anticipating a bunch of babies getting from this breeding season who will be looking for new homes.

Having these three new bundles suddenly had me thinking about the opportunities and possibilities of what we could do with goat milk.

It took me 6 years of breeding and researching until I finally landed on a FB page with an offer to teach me how to SAFELY make goat milk soap!  From that first class I knew is was hooked.

What started out as a hobby rapidly became a business and resulted in more classes for making lotions, lip balms, bath bombs, how to have a goat milk soap business, web page design and more!

I also make cheeses, fudge and caramels now that I can sell in my town as I applied for town Sovereignty for sale of my food / candy products from the farm in Bowerbank, and I am now in the process of licensing my kitchen to enable the sale of some of these products in local businesses and online.

This is a never-ending adventure and one that I am so thankful I started.  Making and using clean clean handmade and specially designed products on my skin is extremely rewarding and knowing that my customers love using it as much as I love making it keeps me going.
